DESCRIPTION:Dec. 6 (Smithville\, DeKalb Co.) – Christmas Parade\, Christmas on the Square & Live WindowsSmithville City Hall & Downtown Smithville | 104 E Main St\, Room 103\, Smithville\, TN 37166 \nKick off a magical holiday evening in Smithville with the Smithville Christmas Parade at 4 PM\, ushering in the spirit of the season as festive floats\, marching bands\, and holiday characters make their way through town. The parade begins at the New Life Connection Center (750 S. Congress Blvd.)\, with participant line-up starting at 2 PM\, and travels along South Congress Blvd. before finishing on the downtown square. \nThe celebration continues with Christmas on the Square\, beginning at 4:45 PM\, where you’ll find seasonal treats\, festive dancing\, glowing light displays\, and beautifully decorated Christmas trees on both sides of the courthouse. Downtown shops will offer extended hours and holiday specials—perfect for finding one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts. \nBe sure to experience the beloved “Live” Windows Contest from 4:45–8:00 PM\, as downtown businesses transform their storefronts into creative\, living holiday scenes. Stroll through the heart of Smithville and enjoy charming performances\, beautifully decorated interiors\, and festive window displays. Awards for 1st\, 2nd\, 3rd\, and “Chamber Choice” will be presented by Mayor Josh Miller and Chamber Director Suzanne Williams\, with Mayor Miller donating $250 to the 1st-place winner’s charity of choice. \nFamilies can visit Justin-Potter Library to meet Santa from 6–7 PM and pick up a Christmas take-home craft.
